Premier Club Hands Over £3000 to its Premier Retailer!
Premier Club, the UK's largest magazines Promotions Club has today announced the winner of its prestigious "Premier Retailer of the Year" award.
Mr Bieda from Sherborne, Dorset is the winning retailer and has received a cheque for £3,000 for being the Clubs top performing independent retailer during the last year. Mr Bieda had the biggest individual sales increase on promoted titles through Premier Club during the last twelve months, sales of titles on promotion increased by a massive 346%!
Mr Bieda, who is supplied by Dawson News, won this Award and the £3k cash by providing extra facings of promoted titles, using specialist pocket units and category flags which enhance the display, using the free POS material and talking to his customers about particular promoted magazines.
On top of the £3k cash lump sum, for every promoted magazine copy that a Premier Club retailer sold above and beyond their base sale, they receive an incentive - which is credited to their news bill - so in effect they receive additional margin.
Roy Carron, Dawson News's Field Sales Manager said "All Kevin's hard work and attention to detail has enabled him to create a successful business that is dedicated to the local community. It shows the advantages of being a member of Premier Club and what can be achieved by communicating regularly with your local retail sales manager".
Winning retailer Kevin Bieda said "I'm delighted to have won this prestigious award and the £3k cash payment. The stores success is simply down to excellent store standards and great customer service - combining both of these has allowed me to achieve real sales increases which in turn has improved my profitability. I'd also like to thank (Dawson News and Peter Clifford my Retail Sales Manager) for all their hard work and support. I believe my success this year with Premier Club is due to the professional point of sale and promotions they have run which if supported is an excellent way of growing your magazine business and creating in store theatre."
