Smiths News’ community work to continue
Smiths News is inviting local charities, schools, hospices and community centres to get in touch if they need help with a project/scheme.
Smiths News, whose head office is based at Kembrey Park Industrial Estate, Swindon runs a community fundraising initiative and volunteering scheme as part of its corporate responsibility programme. Last year, Smiths News PLC saw its employees raise an incredible £102,359 for local and national charities. Individuals and teams also got involved with numerous volunteering activities across the county.
This year, the Company’s Executive are looking for a project to get involved with in the local area. Jonathan Bunting, Managing Director of Smiths News said:
“It’s important to us that we give some of our time to help local causes. We take pride that our business makes a real difference to everyday lives of people and communities. Therefore, we are looking for a one-off community project to get involved with and we will look at providing a team of volunteers to help get the project off the ground.”
“Maybe a hospice needs help with their gardening project, or a community centre that needs help with decorating a room, or a children’s charity which needs help with creating a play area, whatever the project - we want to hear about it as we may be able to help.”
So, if you work for a charity or community centre, and would like some help email: firstname.lastname@example.org and include the details about your project along with your contact name and number.
