Smiths News proudly sponsors award-winning Woo Fest
Smiths News is delighted to sponsor Woo Fest 2021 – an award-winning music festival for all ages that raises funds for St Richard’s Hospice, Worcester.
Now in its seventh year, this year's Woo Fest is set to be virtual, taking place on Saturday 19 June. Organised by Luke Simons, Account Director at Instore (part of Smiths News), 100% of ticket sales go directly to St Richard's Hospice, who cared for Luke's father before his death in 2013, and more recently Luke’s father-in-law.
Luke explained: "We're always overwhelmed each year by the support we get for Woo Fest, which has helped us to raise over £71,000 for St Richard's Hospice so far. It wouldn't be possible without the support of sponsors like Smiths News and our amazing group of volunteers.
"This will be the second event that we run virtually thanks to DRP Group, who helped us to move everything online last year. We'll be announcing the full line-up very soon!"
Woo Fest was recently awarded Silver in the ‘Virtual fundraising’ category at the Global Eventex Awards 2021.
Jon Bunting, Smiths News CEO, said: “As a values driven business we have a responsibility to the communities in which we operate. So, we are proud to support Woo Fest again this year – it’s a truly inspirational event that makes a real difference to people’s lives.”
