Smiths News is SAP Regional Quality Award Winner

Smiths News is delighted to announce it has been awarded a SAP Silver Quality Award in the mobility innovation category for its mobile app ‘SNapp’, after entering the SAP Regional Quality Awards for the entire SAP Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

In December 2014, Smiths News was presented with a SAP Excellence Quality Award in the SAP UK & Ireland market. As an excellence winner, Smiths News’ nomination went through to the Regional Quality Awards within EMEA region, and won the Silver Quality Award.

The Silver Quality Award recognises Smiths News’ SAP software implementation in SNapp, which allows its retail customers to manage supplies in real-time, at a touch of a button.

The judges’ were impressed with Smiths News’ clear business goals for project managing SNapp. They also praised the effective external communication to stakeholders throughout, and the quality of its methods and audits. They were also impressed with Smiths News’ decision to work with a small number of customers to develop and test the app, before rolling it out to a larger audience.

Representatives from Smiths News and their systems integration partner, Keytree were presented with the award at SAP’s global Headquarters in Walldorf, Germany on 28th April 2015.

SNapp has been a technology investment aimed at making it easier for our customers to do business with us.  Our launch and retailer take-up has been fantastic, and one that enables continued investment to further improve our customer experience.”

Over 3,000 retailers are registered and use SNapp to manage their newspaper and magazine supplies, saving them precious time in the early hours of the morning.

Recently, Smiths News announced a new release in SNapp, providing four new features; contact us – customers can now email Smiths News’ teams directly, Report Zero Credit, Your Profile and retailers can now access web links in messages sent to their SNapp inbox.
